NTU HIGHLIGHTS

The World Comes Together at NTU
Prof. Shi-Wei Chu, Vice President for Student Affairs, National Taiwan University

National Taiwan University (NTU) continues to cultivate a welcoming and globally inclusive campus. More than 7,300 international students from 86 countries and regions—representing 22% of the student body—study and live together at NTU.

For many international students, choosing a university is about more than selecting an academic environment. It is also about finding a place where they can live with peace of mind and grow with confidence.

At NTU, internationalization is experienced not only in classrooms and research collaborations, but also in the rhythms of daily life—through shared spaces, cultural exchange, mutual care, and a strong sense of belonging.

Grounded in a human-centered approach, NTU provides comprehensive support for international students, enabling most to establish a stable rhythm of life and study within their first semester. Through an integrated framework spanning daily life, student support, personal growth, and social engagement, NTU helps international students create meaningful experiences centered on “living well—eating, sleeping, exercising, and building friendships,” while nurturing gratitude, mutual support, and a commitment to giving back to society.
