Co-Creating Tommorow's Legal Education: Cross-Broder, Cross-Discipline, Cross-Culture
Prof. Huang-Yu Wang, Dean of College of Law, National Taiwan University

Legal education is entering a period of rapid transformation as globalization, digitalization, and artificial intelligence reshape how law is understood and practiced. At NTU College of Law, we see this shift as an opportunity to reaffirm our mission: to cultivate future legal professionals who can think across borders, engage multiple disciplines, and navigate diverse cultures. This issue of NTU HIGHLIGHTS will introduce our theme, Co-Creating Tomorrow’s Legal Education: Cross-Border, Cross-Discipline, Cross-Culture. These three pillars define our vision for a learner-centered, globally connected, and intellectually agile academic community. They guide our efforts to expand international exchanges, strengthen interdisciplinary collaboration, and deepen long-term partnerships with leading institutions worldwide.

The initiatives featured in this issue illustrate how these principles are already taking shape. Our NTU–Hamburg collaborative course immerses students in the evolving intersection of law, medicine, and technology. The keynote lecture by Professor Kevin D. Ashley demonstrates how AI challenges established modes of legal reasoning while opening new avenues for innovation. And our trilateral workshop with Waseda and Cornell underscores the value of cross-cultural dialogue in advancing comparative and interdisciplinary scholarship.Together, these programs highlight NTU Law’s commitment to shaping a new generation of legal minds equipped to meet the demands of a global and rapidly changing world.
