NTU HIGHLIGHTS

National Taiwan University has officially launched the NTU Tech Hub, with the NTU Creativity and Entrepreneurship Program at its core. Through the newly introduced “Innovation and Entrepreneurship initiative”, NTU aims to respond proactively to global technological paradigm shifts and increasing international market challenges. The initiative seeks to establish a comprehensive entrepreneurship ecosystem that supports student teams from early ideation and market validation to fundraising, while nurturing startups with strong global potential.

The 2025 funding scheme under this initiative is structured into three tiers based on team development stages. These include a seed grant, an execution grant and a launch grant. The funding is designed to support teams in developing minimum viable products (MVPs), conducting concept testing, and validating market demand. In addition to financial support, the program integrates structured coursework with a coaching-based incubation model, providing teams with continuous mentorship to refine market positioning, adjust strategies, and accelerate product development. The inaugural call attracted strong interest, with 28 teams and 81 participants applying. After a competitive selection process, 9 teams were admitted. Looking ahead, the NTU Creativity and Entrepreneurship Program plans to expand recruitment by 2026, focusing on technology-driven startup teams with scalable business potential.

According to D-School@NTU, the NTU Tech Hub represents not only an extension of the Creativity and Entrepreneurship Program but also a key strategic initiative in advancing university–industry collaboration. Moving forward, NTU will integrate on-campus incubation resources, strengthen patent commercialization, and connect with NTU Ventures while deepening collaborations with Silicon Valley founders and venture capital networks. Through these collective efforts, NTU aims to build a robust, globally competitive entrepreneurship ecosystem.
