Promoting International Cooperation: NTU and International Partners Building the Future Together

As globalization accelerates, academic collaboration across borders has become a powerful driver of innovation and a crucial tool for addressing global challenges. NTU, embodying a spirit of openness and innovation, actively strengthens its partnerships with sister universities around the world. With a particular focus on teaching and research, NTU has built strong connections with the international academic community. Furthermore, by establishing joint research centers, NTU has expanded bilateral collaborations into trilateral partnerships, marking a new chapter in global academic cooperation.

In 2024, NTU launched Trilateral Centers with Kyushu University, the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and with the University of Tsukuba, and Grenoble Alpes University. These collaborations have led to significant breakthroughs in academic exchanges, offering expanded research opportunities for faculty and students while also creating new platforms for tackling global challenges.

In addition to its efforts in establishing joint research centers, NTU actively organizes international academic forums to facilitate the exchange of ideas among scholars and researchers. In November 2024, NTU, in partnership with Kyoto University and the University of Hamburg, co-hosted a trilateral forum focused on pressing global issues such as renewable energy, environmental protection, and social welfare, exploring collaborative solutions for these challenges. These international exchanges not only broaden the global perspectives of NTU’s faculty and students but also reinforce the shared commitment and cooperation within the academic community toward sustainable development.

In the future, NTU will continue to expand its collaborations with leading global higher education institutions, creating more opportunities for cross-border academic exchanges and making valuable contributions to global sustainable development.
